Derry XC Open 6k

On Saturday it was time for our annual trip to do some boozing in Derry which sometimes includes doing the cross-country event. Unfortunately, this time the Translink strike forced us to charge our plans/show more restraint. Well done everyone, I’m sure the pint at the end was well-earned.

Born 2 Run – Run Forest Run – Tollymore 10k

Elsewhere Emily Paisley was taking part in the latest race in the Run Forest Run series. The race route takes in panoramic views of the Mourne Mountains and follows the forest path alongside the Shimna River in a gradual ascent past the Hermitage and through the beautiful forest. Well done Emily!

Parkrun Report

16/12/23

Some parkrun tourism last weekend as Ian Wilson, Michael O’Donghue, Stephen Uprichard and Colin Simpson all tried out new locations. Ian at Bushy, Michael at Falcarragh, Stephen at Crawfordsburn (hope you enjoyed the hills!) and Colin at Knockbracken Reservoir. The eternal parkrun tourist Michael is now up to 84 locations.
