Belfast Half-Marathon

The big event from the weekend was the 10^th Belfast Half-Marathon, and although the weather was awful and there was apparently a bit of a bottleneck at the beginning in Ormeau Park, it didn’t stop the OAC crew from putting in some great times. Well done to the 14 club members taking part in a great display of running on Sunday morning.

Congrats to David Montgomery and Adrienne Savage on running new personal bests, and a big thanks to those from the club that braved the rain on Sunday morning to come out to provide encouragement around the course.

Parkrun Report

Some of us were saving our legs for the half-marathon, however a few OACers did make it to new parkrun locations on Saturday – Anne Devlin at Queen’s, Verity Cornford and Selina Myles at Holy Cross College and Sharon Corken, Jill Holland and Lisa Fleming at Enniskillen. Verity Cornford leads the way in different locations for these folks with Holy Cross College being her 42^nd location. Well done everyone.
