Weekly Report – 27th March-2nd April 2023

Titanic 10k

The annual Titanic 10k returned on Sunday with a flat and fast route which for some reason is described as “scenic” on the Athletics NI website. Word on the street is that ANI had a bit of a disaster with the organisation of this one, so I’m glad our runners were able to put in some great times regardless of this – well done to Andrew Carson with another 10k pb!

Andrew Carson – 37.00
David Montgomery – 37.51
Robin Montgomery – 40.21
Elaine Weston – 53.18

Parkrun Report

01/04/23

There was a big achievement at Victoria Park this weekend. Emma Smith with her time of 25.19, this is her fastest parkrun since November 2015! Incredible running, really well done! We’ll be expecting your quickest time since 2014 next week.

A few of us also got out to new parkrun locations – Brian Todd at Rostrevor, Lizzie McNicholl at Colin Glen and Michael O’Donoghue at Lough Key. Michael has the most locations out of the three with 79, as he continues his quest for 100 parkrun locations and finding one that he might be able to win.
