EAMS World Marathon Day 10k

It was another fantastic day of running with EAMS as they had an event in Newtownabbey celebrating World Marathon Day which included full marathon, half-marathon and 10k options. Elaine Weston came in as the 10k female winner. Amazing Elaine, really well done!

Parkanaur 10 Miles

Elsewhere a few OACers made the trip to Parkanaur Forest Park. This was the final race in the Sperrin Series – a great value for money race series in beautiful surroundings. Looked like beautiful course from the photos!

MyRun Fitzer 5k

Brian Todd made the journey back to his hometown of Dundalk to take part in the Fitzer 5k. He let us know that he thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to run some of the haunts of his childhood and the atmosphere was magnificent.

Parkrun Report

The big parkrun news this week is that Andrew McIntyre travelled to West Belfast to show them how it’s done in the East and won Falls parkrun! Well done Andy, great running! He’s actually won 4 of the 5 Falls parkruns he’s taken part in, a home away from home.

Andrew Carson at Waterworks, and Michael O’Donoghue at Con Smith were both trying out new locations. That’s Michael’s 77th location – definitely has his eyes on the 100 locations if I know him!
