Weekly Report – 13th March-19th March 2023
Spar Craic 10k
A good OAC turnout for the Craic 10k on St Patrick’s Day, this is an inclusive fun event attracting all levels of runners. Well done to everyone who took part, the conditions looked great and apparently there was lots of protein milk available at the end!

We Run Wild Midnight Marathon & Half Marathon
A slightly more adventurous race was an option taken by a couple of OACers making the journey to Carrickfergus when they should have been in bed. Both courses were predominantly run on trails, lanes forest paths and rural roads with no marshals – and reliant on self-navigation. Thanks but no thanks – I can only imagine how muddy some of the hills must have been with the recent weather. No prizes for guessing who took part. Well done guys, good to see Cameron back running again.
Marathon

Half-marathon

Parkrun Report
18/03/23
With parkrun back up and running after the previous week’s cancellations 31 OAC members took part on Saturday.
A few OACers engaging in a bit of parkrun tourism this weekend. Keith Weir took advantage of his trip to London to do a new location at Gunnersbury, Lisa Fleming and Emily Paisley both did MUSA Cookstown for the first time, Michael O’Donoghue travelled to Ballinamore Greenway for a new location (his 78th location!) and closer to home Kerris Hamilton’s 75th parkrun was her first at Ormeau.
Also, well done to Judith McCann and Anna Rankin! Judith setting her fastest Ormeau parkrun time so far and Anna doing the same at Stormont parkrun. Great running!
