Weekly Report – 6th February-12th February 2023
Stormont Cross Country
It was a great turnout at the first race of the Club Championship at Stormont, not even the Cross Country aspect was enough to put off the OAC crew. The race was age-graded (controversial as always!) and Andy McIntyre and Heather Flint bagged the 20 points each. Great effort from everyone, and we’re all very thankful for those who came down to support/take photos.
Shout out to Robin Montgomery who let me know that this was a rare cross country victory over his brother David (who did not take part as he was on holiday). Make of that what you will.
The full age-graded results are below, with the race time in brackets.

Parkrun Report
11/02/23
Highlights
Slightly fewer parkrunners this week as the Stormont XC took most of the focus.
Fair play though to Colin Simpson and Michael O’Donoghue for doing the double – parkrun in the morning and the cross-country in the afternoon!
Kimberley Reynolds, Stephen Hamilton and Alison Canning were the furthest afield this weekend, doing some parkrun tourism in Amsterdam – I think we can forgive them for not showing the same commitment to doing the cross-country in the afternoon as Colin and Michael.
No PBs for anyone this week but a few people managed to tick a new parkrun location off their lists; Jenny Powell at Portrush, Tom Smith at Ormeau, Michael O’Donoghue at Dundalk (his 76th parkrun location!), Emma Smith and Anne Devlin at Orangefield and Brian McFarland at Dunleath Playing Fields. And of course, Kimberley Reynolds, Stephen Hamilton and Alison Canning in Amsterdam.
