Titanic Quarter 10k

On Sunday 6th April was the Titanic Quarter 10k, An event that always draws big numbers both for the main and junior events.  This year nearly 1500 runners made it out in blustery and showery conditions for the 10k through the Titanic Quarter. Amongst these were 13 OAC runners along with a good number of supporters. In addition, club members were providing the water station assistance that day.

This race is thought of by many in the club as being tricky to get good times on despite the relative flatness of the route.  In addition the strong winds combined with the sudden warmth towards the end added to the discomfort.

Andy Dickson was first from the club to finish, very nearly hitting 40 minutes despite the conditions.  Next was coach Stephen Orr with 42m01s with Mark McFeeters soon behind.  Louise Lemon was first lady with a strong time of 43m04s.

Alan Montgomery scored a PB by 2 minutes with a time of 53 minutes, as did Victoria Murray in getting under an hour.
