EAH Forest Series Race 1: Woodburn
If you went down to Woodburn Forest last Tuesday you would have seen a strong showing of OAC vests amongst the 195 runners in the first of East Antrim Harriers’ annual Forest Trail Series.
Michael Crawley (Tri-limits) was first round the course in 17:09 and first lady over the finish line was Shileen O’Kane (Lagan Valley) in 19:53.
Robin Montgomery and Michael O’Donoghue led the OAC contingent home with times of 19:11 (15th place) and 22:01 (51st place) respectively and were closely followed by; Paul Buchanan (22:37), Emma McWilliams (22:47), Liza Fleming (24:27), Sharon Dickenson (24:31), Zoe Ni Dhuinn-Bhig (25:12), Paul Gruhn (25:33), Verity Cornford (25:38), Kirsty Buchanan (25:53) and Melinda Wilkinson (27:54).
Turning to the scores on the doors; Kirsty, Sharon, Verity, Emma, Liza, Michael and Robin have all earned age group points. Kirsty has however pointed out that the points are “just resting” in her account due to an oversight which saw her time swapped with that of her husband and Victoria Shield holder Paul!
These are however a good set of results for members to build upon through the rest of the series – well done everyone.
