EAH Forest Trail Series – Race 4
While some of the club hit the trails and hills near Shaw’s Bridge on Tuesday night for a very enjoyable mystery trail (thanks Martin), ten of our members continued their efforts in the 12th series of Summer Trail Races with the East Antrim Harriers.
After postponement to make way for the big match last week, Race 4 returned on Tuesday evening to Woodburn Forest, the same venue as the first race of the series with 134 runners taking part. This time, however, the race distance was extended to approximately 4.5 miles.
It was a lovely evening to be out running, though fairly warm. The results:

The race was won by Matthew Hewitt in a time of 24:51.6 and Claire Donnelly in 28:52.9.
FINAL STANDINGS – Race Series
Orangegrove made a strong appearance in the final standings of the series boasting:
3rd Female overall Trudy Brown
and age category wins for the ever competitive
Robin Montgomery M45, and;
Gerald Harvey M60
From the comments among the club members I expect that the Series will prove popular again next year.
