Dalriada Festival 5k/10k
At the start of a weekend with a lot of racing action for the club, Thomas & Liz Leitch and Joe Craney journeyed to the village of Glenarm for this popular local event. The race consisted of running between the village and the castle, with the 10k race doing a second lap. A total of 200 runners did the 2 events and Orangegrove runners fared well.
In the 10k race, Thomas was in 6th place with a time of 39m40s. In the 5k Joe Craney put in a good performance of 18m09s and was 4th overall. Liz was 3rd lady with a great time of 22m51s and picked up a prize. A scenic race with a festival spirit that we should make a return to in future.
