Enniskillen XC

A few hardy souls from OAC made the journey up to Irvinestown for the inaugural Enniskillen XC on Saturday 8th February .  There were 2 individual entries from the club doing the Male Open race, which was a 7.5k race through what in this writer’s view was the toughest course in the NI XC League.

It consisted of 5 laps round the scenic Nectarne Estate with several hills and deep stretches of boggy ground.  There were only 70 runners finishing this race with large team entries from City of Derry, North Down and Springwell.

Darren Moffett performed well with a time of 40m52s just ahead of a couple of determined Sperrin Harriers. Michael O’Donoghue finished a bit later in 42m32s.  No OAC team entries on this occasion, but we should have a good presence at the final race in the NI XC League at Stormont
