Race Over The Glens
In horrendous weather conditions 14 OAC athletes journeyed out to Glenariff Forest Park for the annual Race Over The Glens event. It was an uncompromising 6 mile course with only the superb scenery, great support and a solitary bagpipe playing to raise the spirits.
There were strong performances from the club showing that we rise to the occasion in adversity. Renowned triathlete Trudy Brown showed her aptitude in hilly conditions coming second in the ladies race with a time of 49m19s.
Also strong performances from Thomas Leitch with a time of 42m44s, Joe Craney with 51m31s and Brian Todd, who won the Male Over 60 category with a time of 53m04s.
